28 Apr Continued S.T.A.R. Award Recognition!

As we anticipate the upcoming banquet that will reveal this year’s S.T.A.R. Award winners, we continue to recieve recognition in the Florida Roofing magazine for last year’s win in two roofing categories. A publication of the FRSA (Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Contractors Association) the recent edition highlighted, with a great cover photo and full page story, one of our two competition winners, “Windermer Walkable Decks” in the Unique Project category.
The 1st Place Award for Unique Project, Windermere Walkable Decks, was presented to company President, Jared Mellick. Special recognition was given to Aaron Mellick, VP Operations, and Estimator, Warren Mellick as well as Project Managers, Chuck Przychocki and Steve Pearson. Steve Pearson also received special mention as the MVP on this project.  The article describes the multiple deck renovation and the obstacles and challenges of the job.
Also taking first place was our Community Service Project, Neighbors in Need. This year we have entered again in similar categories with hopes to again place or claim a S.T.A.R. Award for our hard work on both projects.
S.T.A.R. – Spotlight Trophy for the Advancement of Roofing – is an awards program designed by the FRSA to recognize industry members’ unique and outstanding projects completed in the state of Florida. A panel evaluates the entries for inclusion and outstanding performance in each category. On Friday, June 17th, the S.T.A.R. Awards and Officer Installation Dinner will feature a presentation profiling winning industry projects. This awards dinner will be an opportunity to network with contractors, manufacturers, architects and exhibitors in a relaxed, business atmosphere.
